First nite shift after so long

Going to start my first nite shift after so long of day shift. Have really got used to being in the day. I am going to be very very tired tonite... hope this will not affect my health. Having to let your body adapt to changes for so many times is really bad. How i hope i can be like Trish and lian Jie, both in permanent day shift..... how lucky .... well just my luck.... Hope that i can learn the rope ASAP, hate knowing nothing.

Unhappy and grey : <

Feeling low and unhappy. Troubled and worried... One person i saw last week just gone like that. What is life? So grey and dull when dead is concerned. He may not know me , but i am happy enough to have made him feel slighly confortable during his last few days alive. May him be re-born in the pure land and be well, happy and fortunate in his next life.

This is getting so sad........ that i may consider closing down my blog...

Money or Life??

Recently, i came across a ex-colleage in my new company. I was shocked to see him there at first because he was meant to be in China and not in Singapore. For a moment i though that he's just giving "model answers" for the reasons to leaving the company. After finding out the real reason, i was taken aback by the incident.

Lucky thing is that this incident did not happen to him. He was meant to be holding a high salary + manager post in China+ free housing and stuff. These seems great on the outside. On the first day of his work, the HR told him :" Don't go out after 8pm". He was puzzled and asked why. The reply was that the security was not good. He didn't take it seriously.

A few day later, one of his colleague was found lying on the main road with both hand and leg veins all cutted. This happened during the day time noon. A lot of passer-by saw it, but no one helped. My friend immediately resigned. He don't want to risk his life for a highly paid job. Now, he is pay more than 1K lesser but he is contented and happy, because Singapore is so safe. So happy to be in Singapore. Well, i love Singapore and i'm proud to be a Singaporean. But , we need to educate the "ugly Singaporeans" , there are quite a few out there....

Teacher ask the whole class to beat lazy student

In the recent news, it was reported that a teacher has asked the whole class to beat up a student who failed to hand up homework on time. I personally feel that fingers should not be pointed at only one person. A lot of people should be responsible for this.

The teacher
Yes....Obviously the problem started from him. So everyone will start discussing about him being right or wrong. We shouldn't just discuss whether he is right or wrong... Instead, we should know what causes him to do that and why did he wanted to do that given so many other options. Is this the first time this student is not doing homework?? The environment he is in may have great stress causing him to go out of his mind at that split moment. He must have taken his job very seriously and wanting to really teach his students, as a result, he got really angry when students repeatedly fail to do their homework.

The parents
As parents, is also their responsibility to look after their own child in terms of health, studies and all sorts of stuff. Firstly, Does the parents know that the child is not doing homework? Secondly, Parents are not fulfilling their duties and I would think no parents will allow their child to not do their homework unless valid reasons.

The classmates
Why is it that the classmates can just follow the teacher's instruction to beat up the student. Don't they have a mind of their own. I though everyone go round saying that children nowadays are very smart and can ask a lot of questions when asked to do something. What is wrong in this case? Is it true that the boy is a super outcast such that everyone dislike him? Even so, I still think is wrong to follow such a silly instruction that will cause harm to others. Coming to this point, this have again showed how well that parents are educating their own children.

The student that got beaten up
In Chinese we have one word call " zhi zhou zhi shou" Means that he have caused himself to be in this situation. If he have finished the homework on time, then all these won't have happened. I Believe in Karma.

In conclusion, I thick that MOE 's way of choosing teachers is very bad. Anyone tom , dick or harry can just be a teacher. A lot of my friends who are really good applied to MOE but was rejected. no reason given, but I think is because they got overseas degree. Some friends who have great passion in Teaching, but were also rejected with no reasons given.. Singapore's system is always like a black box... You will never know what is going on inside Unless you are inside. ...or unless you are the person deciding....

After Poly, when applying for Local Uni, got rejected again and again and no reason given. My friend's results not as good as mine also got in.... why ???? because the Black Box made the decision.
